Successful completion of Caib 1 and the Council Rules Course will qualify you to sell Level 1 general insurance in British Columbia. This includes the ability to sell ICBC Autoplan.

Licensing exams are based on textbook content – so it’s important to read the books and not just listen to online lectures or read other people’s study notes.

The first module of CAIB, focusing on personal insurance covering items such as habitational coverages, personal liability, agriculture, personal auto and travel. The second module covers commercial property insurance and explores the Commercial Property Policy Form, additional coverage forms, crime and business interruption products. The third module focuses on specialty insurance such as ocean marine, aviation and risk management. And the fourth and final module of CAIB, teaches you how to manage your brokerage.
