Why Commercial Glaziers and Glass Manufacturers Are Quickly Adopting Curtain Wall Cladding

Curtain wall cladding is a system that protects the building structure and occupants from harsh weather conditions like rain, wind, and snow. The outer facade of a building is designed to be non-structural, so the curtain walls transfer the weight back to the primary structural components. They also help in protecting the interior of the building from extreme temperatures and reduce energy costs as they prevent heat loss through windows. This is why commercial glaziers and glass manufacturers are rapidly adopting this technology for their building projects.

These systems are part of a broad movement in modernist architecture to experiment with forms that move away from the traditional load-bearing walls that have defined our buildings since antiquity. These new forms can be much more open and allow for greater flexibility of occupancy, while still allowing for protection from the elements.

Elevate Your Exterior: Exploring the Versatility of Curtain Wall Cladding

The two main types of curtain wall systems are the stick system -wherein the frames and panels are installed on-site- and the unitized system wherein they are fully fabricated and assembled in a factory before being shipped to construction sites for installation. Unitized systems tend to be more reliable and have a better track record, but all projects specifying these systems must include a field mock-up for testing before the release of shop drawings for window production.

Besides reducing the overall cost of the project, curtain walls also increase the natural lighting within the building, which is a great benefit for the occupants. Research has shown that working in natural light promotes efficiency and productivity. In addition to this, it reduces the need for energy-consuming artificial light and heating, which further helps in lowering the building’s energy bills.…

Do credit cards work outside your country?

When choosing a card for your outdoor adventures, consider which type of spending you do most often and how much money you spend on those activities. For example, if you typically do your shopping at a specific outdoor supplier, a co-branded credit card can offer the best return on your spending. But, if you spread your purchases around multiple outdoor retailers, you might do better with a general rewards or cash back card.

The Academy Sports + Outdoors credit card, issued by Synchrony Bank, is a great option for those who frequent the retailer and want to earn discounts and free shipping. However, the card is only worth getting if you do a majority of your outdoor shopping at this particular store.

Since Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops merged, they offer two distinct branded credit cards: the Cabela’s CLUB card and the Bass Pro Shops CLUB card. Both charge a $0 annual fee and allow you to redeem your rewards for gear from either retailer or at other outdoor-focused retailers. That said, if you aren’t hooked on these brands, you might fare better with a general cash back card.

Big Picture Canvas Prints

In a digital world, there’s something undeniably magical about seeing your photos printed on canvas and hanging them on the wall. These high-quality canvas prints are made to last a lifetime, bringing your memories to life every time you walk past them in the hallway or glance at the gallery of paintings in your office. Plus, they’re a great way to share those experiences with the next generation of family members.

How is a canvas made?

We know how important your photos are, which is why we make sure to only use the highest quality materials to ensure our big picture canvas prints last a long time. We start with sustainable pine wood that is carefully sourced from responsibly managed forests and then sent to the factory for a special drying process until it reaches the optimal EM (equilibrium moisture) content. Once the wood is ready, it’s manually assembled and stretched over a custom frame by experienced craftsmen.

Once your print is finished, we add a UV coating to help protect it from scratches and fading over time. Then we wrap it in protective cardboard and ship it to you for your convenience.

To hang your canvas, first remove the wire from the back of the print and then place a nail or j-hook on the wall where you want it to go. If you’d like more stability for your canvas, you can add a sawtooth bracket to the back of the print. Just measure from the top of the photo to the highest point on the wire and then subtract that number from 58 to 60 inches (150 to 150 cm) to find the correct distance for your wall hooks.
